LifeBound - Parents
LifeBound provides programs that promote coaching skills among parents who can ask questions of their children to become strong critical thinkers, decision-makers, and strategists about their own lives, options, dreams, and goals. We encourage parents to support their students to take measured risks, learn to love challenge, get out of their comfort zone, and explore the world while still being in the safe environment of home.
Decades of research show that when parents are involved, students have:
- Higher grades, test scores, and graduation rates
- Better school attendance
- Increased motivation, better self-esteem
- Lower rates of suspension
- Decreased use of drugs and alcohol
- Fewer instances of violent behavior
