Meet Our LifeBound Interns

Current LifeBound Interns

Stephanie ScottStephanie Scott is a remote Publishing intern for LifeBound. She is a sophomore at Texas Christian University majoring in News-Editorial journalism. Stephanie belongs to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and is a TCU honors student. Stephanie enjoys reading, writing, going to the beach, and traveling. She hopes to make traveling internationally a routine in her future but always intends to keep America as her home.

 

 

ElizaEliza Sivo is a publicity and editorial intern for LifeBound. She is a junior majoring in
English at the University of Vermont and plans to pursue her Master’s Degree in
journalism. Eliza has successively made the Dean’s List and belongs to several academic societies, including the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Golden Key International Honor Society. She is from Essex, Massachusetts, but is a true Bostonian at heart and hopes to return to the area for further educational and career opportunities.

 

Joshua CarterJoshua Carter is completing a strategic marketing internship with LifeBound during his sophomore year as a business student at Ohio State University.  He is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Undergraduate Finance Association and the Business Builder's Club.   His academic goals are to double major in finance and marketing with a minor a economics with hopes of getting into the investment banking field.  In his free time, he enjoys following the stock market and writing screenplays.

 

 

ErikaErika Bergstrom, a Colorado native, graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Denver Health Sciences Center which a BA in communication. During her senior year in college, she spent two semesters with LifeBound, serving as an editorial intern and continued her learning experience with the company focusing on marketing. Erika relocated to the California to work in the field of advertising or event planning.

 

 

 

 

DemarcoDe Marco Kelsey is a senior at DePaul University in Chicago, IL majoring in information technology and completing a web design/marketing internship at LifeBound. He plans to graduate, with a BA in computing, June of 2007. De Marco holds two part time student worker positions on campus; one job at the Ray Meyers Fitness and Recreation Center in the maintenance department, and the other as an America Reads tutor. He also spent time (3yrs) serving in the Illinois Army National guard as a diesel mechanic and 5-ton wrecker/crane truck operator. Besides work and academics, De Marco tries to enjoy other things - college football, money, sci-fi and war movies, reading, ancient history, X-box, gourmet food and music. He would like to leave Chicago after graduation and work in another city or even another country.

 

 

MeganMegan Mackoway is serving as a remote editorial intern for LifeBound.  She is a senior at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.  Megan plans to graduate with a BA in English this upcoming March.  She is a former president of the WSU Chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and is involved with numerous other academic groups on campus.

Laura DaughtreyLaura Daugherty brings passion and experience to her position as an editorial intern at LifeBound.  A senior honors student at the University of Colorado-Bouder, she is majoring in English and creative writing.  She has been selected to numerous academic societies, including the Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the National Scholars Honor Society.  In ther spare time, Laura loves to dance and has performed with numerous dance teams and companies.  She is from Columbia, Missouri.

 

 

Alyssa GroleauAlyssa Groleau serves as a remote photography intern for LifeBound. She shot many of the images for the new title, "Gifts and Talents for Teenagers: Discovering Your Unique Strengths" and looks forward to making images for future books. Alyssa is a freshman at New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, N.H. She plans to pursue a career in photography after college.

 

 

Brittany Henning is a sophomore dual major in print journalism and information management at Syracuse University and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Brittany is a staff writer for her campus newspaper, The Daily Orange, and a literacy tutor for a service learning organization, Literacy Corps, which provides support of community literacy programs. As a member of Women in Technology, she enjoys organizing career development events and workshops to enhance the professional skills of fellow students and promote IT related careers.

LeslieLeslie Ruybal is a recent graduate of the University of Denver with a BS in chemistry and minors in Spanish language and literature, biological science and mathematics.  She is currently applying to medical school and plans to become a neonatologist at a children’s hospital.  Leslie is employed with Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway Company as a Chemistry Technician in Corporate Research and Development.  She has been an intern with LifeBound since graduating from Thornton High School in 2002 and has participated in many student seminars and in-school programs.
