Did You Know?
In a 2011 study, 71 percent of recent college graduates wish they had done something differently in college to prepare for the job market. (Source: Adecco Staffing USA) In the 25-34 age group, approximately one-third earned a bachelors degree or higher, and less than 10 percent of students earned an associates degree. (Source: Huffington Post) In 2009, the unemployment rates of people 25 years old and over were as follows:
- 5.2 percent for those with a bachelors degree and higher
- 6.8 percent for those with an associates degree
- 8.6 percent for those with some college, no degree
- 9.7 percent for those with a high school diploma, no college
- 14.6 percent for those with less than a high school diploma
